Security Controller – Corporate Security | London SE1
Assist Security Group (ASG) is recruiting a professional, reliable and highly organised Security Controller to join our team at a prestigious corporate office development in the Blackfriars area of Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-profile corporate setting, playing a vital role in security operations, incident management and the safety of staff, visitors and contractors.
Role Details
* Location:
Bankside / Blackfriars, London SE1
* Pay: £15.25 per hour (approximately £33,306 per annum)
* Hours:
Average 42 hours per week
* Contract:
Permanent, full-time
* Shifts:
7:00am – 7:00pm, 4 days on, 4 days off, including weekends and bank holidays as rostered
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm and security systems.
* Act as the central communication point for the on-site security team.
* Coordinate responses to incidents, emergencies and security concerns.
* Manage building access, including visitor and contractor entry.
* Conduct regular welfare checks and maintain clear communication with security officers.
* Maintain accurate incident reports, control room logs and shift handovers.
* Identify potential security risks and escalate concerns appropriately.
* Work collaboratively with site management and the wider security team.
* Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism and customer service.
What We're Looking For
* Valid SIA CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) licence (essential).
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Strong IT skills and confidence using security management systems.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Reliability, integrity and excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience in a security control room, corporate security or alarm monitoring environment is desirable.
* Additional SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence and first aid qualifications are advantageous.
