Are You a Skilled Repairs Supervisor with a Background in Disrepair

We're looking for an experienced and dedicated Disrepair Supervisor to lead our team in the Croydon area. This is a crucial role focused on managing and overseeing complex disrepair cases within a social housing portfolio.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a hands-on supervisor to secure a long-term position with a stable and reputable contractor. We need someone with proven expertise who can hit the ground running and ensure all work is completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise, motivate, and manage a team of multi-trade operatives to deliver efficient and high-quality disrepair works.

Conduct pre-inspections to diagnose disrepair issues and scope the necessary work.

Oversee all active disrepair cases, ensuring work is carried out to specifications and within agreed-upon timescales.

Conduct post-inspections to ensure a high-quality finish and resident satisfaction.

Liaise directly with tenants, surveyors, and legal teams to provide updates and resolve any concerns.

Ensure all works comply with current housing legislation and health and safety regulations.

Provide regular reports on project progress, costs, and team performance.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a supervisor in a reactive repairs or maintenance setting.

A strong background in managing housing disrepair cases is a must.

A solid technical understanding and a relevant trade background (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, plastering).

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

A full UK driving license.
