About the Role:
We are a trusted electrical services provider with a strong presence in London, now seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. Based from our Camden office, you will be at the heart of our responsive service, primarily working across Lambeth and surrounding Southeast areas, maintaining electrical systems in social housing and other client properties.
This is a hands-on role for a qualified electrician who is confident in reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and delivering high-quality repairs and small installations. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor apprentices and trainees, ensuring our team continues to deliver excellence across Lambeth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out responsive electrical repairs, maintenance, and fault-finding across Lambeth and Southeast London.
* Work on single and three-phase systems in social housing and domestic properties.
* Repair lighting and power circuits, replace MCBs, RCDs, fuse boards, light fittings, accessories, cabling, and containment systems.
* Update electronic service reports in real-time after each job.
* Maintain company vehicles, tools, and testing equipment to a high standard.
* Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
* Communicate professionally with clients and build strong working relationships.
* Follow all health & safety legislation and company procedures.
* Mentor and supervise apprentices/trainees as required.
* Achieve high first-time fix rates and meet agreed KPIs.
Objectives for Success:
* Complete all works as directed by your Supervisor.
* Achieve contract-specific KPIs and performance targets.
* Adhere to health & safety policies at all times.
* Attend all assigned calls and update works orders live (100% compliance).
* Maintain sickness and absence within company guidelines.
Person Specification:
Criteria Essential Qualifications City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent)
City & Guildsth/18th Edition)
City & Guilds 2382
City & Guilds Inspection & Testing)
Experience At least 3 years as a qualified electrician
Broad experience across electrical repairs and maintenance
Social housing experience desirable
Knowledge
Understanding of maintenance contracts in occupied properties
Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, H&S, and Fire Regulations Aptitudes & Competencies Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
Excellent fault-finding skills
Full UK driving licence
Flexible to work weekends, nights, and on call-out rota
Ability to work at heights
Not colour blind
