About The Role

Imagine this…

A young person has moved into Bruce House. It’s their first real step towards independence – a safe place of their own, with the right support around them.

You’re there to welcome them, make sure the accommodation is ready and safe, and help them understand what holding a tenancy really means. With your guidance, they don’t just maintain their accommodation – they build the confidence, skills and stability they need to move on successfully into independent living.

What you’ll be doing
  • Help residents move into safe, well-prepared accommodation.
  • Support young people to understand their tenancy rights and responsibilities.
  • Monitor and evidence each young person’s ability to live independently, ensuring they understand the realities of sustaining a tenancy before move-on.
  • Tackle challenges like rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, or property issues.
  • Contribute to move-on readiness and planning, supporting clear expectations and positive progress.
  • Work with partners to find move-on housing options and prevent homelessness.
  • Support a service model that offers up to 12 months’ length of stay (subject to review).
About You What we’re looking for
  • Experience of housing or tenancy management.
  • Empathy and patience to support young people facing multiple challenges.
  • Organised, resilient, and passionate about giving people the tools to thrive in independence.
