This is your opportunity to contribute directly to humanitarian and migration operations at the EU’s external borders.
Join our team and work onsite, supporting frontline operations through deployments across various European locations. Your role will help ensure clear, respectful communication and protect the dignity and rights of people in vulnerable situations.
What will you do?- Support debriefing and screening teams during interviews and operational activities, ensuring accurate interpretation and cultural mediation.
- Provide cultural insights and contextual background to support informed decision‑making.
- Prepare relevant information for team members (key questions, cultural considerations, background knowledge).
- Interpret and translate between English and migrants’ native languages (Amharic, Tigrinya, and others where applicable).
- Monitor media and open sources related to migratory flows from countries of origin and transit, and report relevant findings.
- Work onsite with operational teams, including police forces and EU agencies, during deployments.
- Adapt to dynamic field environments and support humanitarian and migration‑related activities as needed.
- Fluency in Pashto, Dari and Farsi
- English level B2 or higher
- Minimum 3 years of experience in case management systems related to border control, law enforcement, or similar operational fields
- Ability to work in multilingual, multicultural, and high‑pressure environments
- Strong professional integrity, confidentiality, and alignment with EU values
- NATO clearance or similar security clearance is an advantage
- Valid and clean criminal record
- Passport is an advantage
- Willingness and ability to work onsite and participate in long‑term deployments

What the role offers- A 2+ year collaboration commitment with regular deployments across Europe
- All travel, accommodation, food, training, medical, and dental expenses fully covered
- An excellent day rate paid for each day of work
- Work with professional teams, including police forces, for 2–6 hours per day, 5 days a week (occasionally
6) - Various deployment cycles such as, but not limited to, 8 weeks onsite, 2 weeks home, repeated throughout the contract
