Hyperion Partners are proud to be working in partnership with a respected housing provider to recruit a Supported Housing Officer with a strong focus on pre-tenancy assessments and resident suitability.

This is a pivotal frontline role, ensuring that vulnerable individuals are appropriately assessed, supported and placed into accommodation that is safe, sustainable and aligned to their needs.

The Role

You will lead on the end-to-end pre-tenancy process, ensuring robust assessments are carried out prior to offer, balancing safeguarding, risk management and tenancy sustainment.

Key responsibilities include:

* Conducting comprehensive pre-tenancy and risk assessments, including affordability, support needs and safeguarding considerations

* Liaising with referring agencies including local authorities, probation, mental health teams and support providers

* Assessing suitability for supported accommodation in line with eligibility criteria and risk appetite

* Developing clear support plans in partnership with residents and external professionals

* Ensuring compliance with internal policies, housing law and safeguarding frameworks

* Supporting residents through sign-up and early tenancy stages to promote successful sustainment

About You

We are keen to speak with professionals who:

* Have experience within supported housing, homelessness, temporary accommodation or housing options

* Are confident conducting detailed needs and risk assessments

* Understand safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act and multi-agency working

* Can balance compassion with professional curiosity and sound decision-making

* Are confident managing challenging conversations and complex cases

* Maintain accurate records and operate within clear compliance frameworks
