What we’re looking forThis is an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑paced and growing organisation. We’re looking for a Criminal Justice Recovery Practitioner for our Merton Service.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced criminal justice drug and alcohol recovery practitioner. The post holder will work closely with partners from probation, prison, courts and police to support and engage service users into recovery‑oriented drug and alcohol treatment.
The key objective of the role is to assist service users to address their offending behaviour and become free from dependency. You will provide outreach satellites in the local Probation office as well as one or more prisons and lead on the service’s links with these agencies. This role offers the successful candidate the chance to make a lasting difference to the lives of our service users.
Responsibilities- Manage a small caseload of clients, including prescribing and providing high‑quality interventions at varying stages of recovery.
- Support and engage service users into recovery‑oriented drug and alcohol treatment.
- Work closely with partners from probation, prison, courts, and police.
- Lead the service’s links with these agencies and provide outreach satellites in the local Probation office.
- Relevant experience as a criminal justice drug and alcohol recovery practitioner.
- Compassion, good communication skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- A good listener, curious, and want to make a difference.
