The City & Hackney Safeguarding Children Partnership is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Advisor to support the statutory functions of the City and Hackney Safeguarding Children Partnership. This role is essential for coordinating quality assurance and overseeing training, learning, and development across our multi‑agency network.
You will support the Senior Professional Advisor by providing expert safeguarding guidance to partners and agencies, ensuring children’s safety remains at the heart of our local arrangements.
Key Accountabilities- Quality Assurance: You will manage the CHSCP’s Learning and Improvement Framework, overseeing the activity of the QA Sub Group and leading on thematic multi‑agency audits.
- Training & Development: You will lead on the design and maintenance of the multi‑agency training programme and the development of the partnership’s training strategy.
- Delivery: You will be responsible for the direct delivery of Level 1 and Level 3 safeguarding children training.
- Project Management: You will coordinate thematic Task Groups and manage multi‑agency initiatives, building strong relationships with voluntary and community organisations.
- Communications: You will research and produce monthly briefings to highlight key safeguarding updates for a wide professional audience.
We are looking for a professional with a high degree of accountability and the ability to work authoritatively with staff from different agencies. You must be educated to degree level and hold a recognised professional qualification in a field where safeguarding is a core function, such as social work, teaching, or health.
Essential experience working as a qualified professional with operational safeguarding responsibilities. You will have excellent IT skills and the ability to interpret and evaluate complex data.
You should be an assertive, solution‑focused team player with a commitment to active anti‑racist practice.
An enhanced DBS check will be required.
