Overview
Penrose Health attends university student fairs across London to help students register with a GP easily and confidently.
Department: Patient Registration
Location: South East London Sites
Compensation: £12.75 / hour
What You’ll Be DoingAt each event, you will be one of the first faces students see when they approach our stand.
Your Role Will Be To- Welcome students in a friendly, confident way
- Explain the GP registration process using a clear, provided script
- Help students complete registration forms accurately
- Reassure students and answer basic process questions
- Clearly signpost any medical or clinical queries to NHS staff on site
- Represent Penrose Health professionally at all times
- Helping setting up / taking down the stall
- Giving medical advice
- Discussing symptoms or treatment
- Making clinical decisions
- Applying pressure or sales techniques
- Friendly and comfortable talking to new people
- Confident approaching students in a busy environment
- Clear and calm when explaining simple processes
- Reliable and punctual
- Happy following a loose script and guidance
- Current university student
- Studying at a London university
- Previous experience as a student ambassador, event staff, or in customer service
- Interest in healthcare, public service, or community support
- Contract type:
Casual / temporary - Hours:
- Short shifts, typically around 4 hours
- Example: 11:00–15:00
- Pay:
- £12.75 per hour
- Plus £2 for each completed GP registration
- Location:
- London university campuses
- Including LSBU, King’s, and others
- Working pattern:
- This is a rolling pool role
- Shifts will be offered as and when events take place
- No guaranteed hours
- Flexible, short shifts that fit around studies
- Paid experience working at live events
- Opportunity to support student access to NHS services
- A role you can return to multiple times across the year
