Are you an experienced Duty & Assessment Social Worker looking for a role with manageable caseloads, flexible working arrangements, and strong management support?
We're currently working with a well-regarded West Country local authority that is actively recruiting experienced Social Workers into its Duty & Assessment Service. The authority is committed to maintaining low caseloads, enabling practitioners to complete high-quality assessments and make informed decisions that achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out timely assessments and interventions.
- Completing Child and Family Assessments
- Responding to referrals and undertaking initial visits
- Managing duty responsibilities and safeguarding concerns
- Conducting Section 47 enquiries where required
- Risk assessment and decision‑making
- Multi‑agency partnership working
- Progressing cases to the most appropriate service pathway
- Working closely with children, families, and partner agencies

Requirements- Qualified Social Worker Current
- Social Work England registration
- Previous experience within a Duty & Assessment, Referral & Assessment, or Front Door service
- Strong assessment and risk management skills
