Location and role type This face‑to‑face community‑based role is based across the North West and West London. Candidates must live close to Ealing, Hillingdon or Hounslow.

We run the Employment Plus service to help people become job‑ready. Our goal is to support job seekers in obtaining and maintaining employment. We operate in more than 650 locations across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, working alongside job seekers to understand their needs and tailor our service accordingly. As an Employability Advisor you will also support other services such as money management and housing support to help individuals become more independent.
Role OverviewThis position upholds our mission values by offering participants ‘A Hand Up’ and focuses on reducing or eliminating barriers related to employability, financial issues, housing, relationships, well‑being, social inclusion, and digital literacy. The goal is to promote awareness and foster growth and understanding of these needs within the wider community.
Responsibilities- Identify and nurture suitable job opportunities for unemployed individuals within the local community.
- Develop and deliver tailored employability supports to address barriers such as financial issues, housing, well‑being and digital literacy.
- Build referral networks with local charities, job centres and community venues.
- Assist participants in creating CVs, cover letters and interview preparation.
- Collaborate across internal teams to integrate employability, money management and housing support.
- Self‑motivated and passionate about supporting people to overcome barriers.
- Experience working on employability programmes with a demonstrated ability to offer a wide range of solutions.
- Solution‑focused mindset and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Strong team working skills and ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
- Ability to source referrals and build networks in the local community.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (DBS: Enhanced adult workforce and enhanced with barred list child workforce DBS Disclosure), a right to work in the UK, and evidence of a DBS Enhanced with barred list for child workforce if applicable. This role may require work in a prison and will require MOJ vetting.
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK as we are not a licensed sponsor.
