About the role

Hillingdon Council is recruiting Accommodation Officers to support the delivery of temporary accommodation (TA) and private rented sector (PRS) services. This is a key operational role at the heart of the housing system – ensuring residents are placed in safe, suitable accommodation and that housing supply is managed effectively.

Key responsibilities
  • Arrange and manage placements into TA and PRS accommodation
  • Ensure properties meet required standards and compliance
  • Carry out inspections and monitor housing conditions
  • Support the management of voids, re‑lets and move‑on activity
  • Work with landlords, agents and providers to maintain supply
  • Manage tenancy and licence arrangements and resolve housing issues
  • Provide advice and support to residents to sustain accommodation
