Job type:
Permanent, 17.5 hours per week.
Provide assessment, treatment and support to individuals experiencing psychosis for the first time. Work autonomously with service users, carers, and families to deliver person‑centred, evidence‑based interventions.
Responsibilities- Use social care knowledge to guide intervention with service users, families, and carers.
- Undertake care act assessments, support planning and reviews under the Care Act 2014.
- Undertake the AMHP role on behalf of the local authority and participate in the Greenwich Central AMHP Team rota (pro‑rata).
- Provide consultation and support on Safeguarding Adults and Children procedures and act as Safeguarding Adults Manager, Enquiry Officer, MARAC Representative and Think Family Champion where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain self‑help, improve problem‑solving and coping capabilities for individuals and families.
- Participate in Section 117 discharge and care planning processes and meetings.
- Promote interagency collaboration with local authority, housing, third‑sector organisations, voluntary agencies and community networks to mobilise resources.
- Complete statutory documentation and reports within required time‑scales.
- Assess needs of groups who are difficult to engage or from excluded groups.
- Undertake mandatory training to maintain social care practice, knowledge and skills.
- 1:1 reflective professional supervision and AMHP post‑assessment supervision.
- Access to an AMHP‑qualified manager and a mentor for first‑year support.
- 18 hours of AMHP approval training each year.
- Structured induction to the Greenwich AMHP service.
- Up to 2 days in each 5‑year period to complete AMHP re‑approval portfolio.
- Opportunity to be involved in practice education of other social workers and AMHPs.
- Access to Social Work, AMHP and Reflective Practice Forums.

PO2 (Level 1 Social Workers) £42,771 to £45,750 and PO3 £ 45,750 to £49,056 (plus Advanced Mental Health Professional Allowance and a 10% Market Supplement Allowance reviewed annually).
