About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of strengthening our family‑led, strengths‑based approach, supporting children and families to develop safe, sustainable plans within their own networks. The role is central to embedding FGDM practice in line with the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill (2025) and our ongoing service transformation.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and facilitate Family Group Conferences (FGCs) and Family Network Meetings (FNMs)
- Prepare and support children, young people and families to participate meaningfully in decision‑making
- Act as an impartial facilitator, ensuring the child’s voice remains central
- Work collaboratively with professionals across social care, health, education, and partner agencies
- Support the development of robust, family‑led plans that reduce escalation and improve outcomes
- Maintain high‑quality record keeping and timely delivery of plans and outcomes
- Some evening and weekend work will be required
- Have experience working with children and families, particularly in complex or multi‑agency contexts
- Demonstrate strong safeguarding knowledge and facilitation skills
- Are skilled in engagement, relationship‑building, and restorative practice
- Can work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcome‑focused interventions
- Are committed to equality, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice
