Location: Greater London

Part‑time Play Worker (15 hours per week, Term Time Only)

Working hours:

3pm – 6pm daily.

Contract:

fixed term (one year). Start date – 13 April 2026.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual, committed to the wellbeing and development of all children at our school, and able to work as part of a team. This role is a permanent appointment within the part‑time structure.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Play Worker to work at Twinkling Stars who will be able to share and contribute to the implementation of these values.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility, appropriate to the post, for tackling racism and promoting good race, ethnic and community relations.
  • Safeguarding – Have a due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people; follow all associated child protection and safeguarding policies adopted by the school and Local Authority.
  • Health and Safety – Work in compliance with the School’s Health and Safety policies and under the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), ensuring the safety of all parties with whom contact is made.
  • Data Protection – When working with computerised systems, be completely aware of responsibilities at all times under the Data Protection Act 2018 for the security and accuracy of personal data held.
Additional Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS and a barred list check are a condition of employment for all employees in regulated activity.
  • The role is within a non‑smoking and non‑vaping environment.
