About the Role
The London Borough of Islington seeks a Qualified Children in Need Social Worker to support families through safeguarding and risk assessment. You will manage cases, progress plans, and work with multidisciplinary teams in a protected caseload environment.
Responsibilities- Safeguard children and assess risk.
- Create and progress collaborative care plans.
- Step cases up to care proceedings or down to targeted services where appropriate.
- Maintain transparent, strength‑based practice and build meaningful relationships.
- Provide reflective supervision and support to colleagues.
- Registered Social Worker with experience in Children in Need Services.
- Experience in safeguarding practice, risk assessment, and collaborative planning.
- Commitment to dignity, respect, empathy and child‑centred practice.
- Knowledge of cultural diversity and equality principles.
Eligibility for a comprehensive core training programme, intensive multidisciplinary support, MI skills training via a two‑stage interview process, and ongoing reflective supervision.
