Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Officer to join a specialist Housing Association providing supported housing for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
This is a field-based role covering a patch across North London and Hertfordshire, including areas such as:
Enfield
Hillingdon
Stevenage
Watford
Surrounding North London & Hertfordshire locations
You'll take ownership of your own patch, working closely with residents, support providers and external agencies to deliver a high-quality housing management service.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, can confidently manage a busy caseload and is comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities
Manage a patch of supported housing properties
Complete tenancy sign-ups and tenancy sustainment visits
Carry out estate inspections and home visits
Investigate and manage ASB and tenancy breaches
Manage voids and lettings
Support Housing Benefit applications and tenancy-related queries
Monitor rent accounts and work alongside income teams
Identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals
Coordinate repairs with contractors and internal teams
Build strong relationships with support providers, local authorities and external agencies
Maintain accurate housing records and ensure compliance with housing legislation
Essential Experience
Previous experience working as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer or Tenancy Officer
Housing Association or Social Housing experience
Strong tenancy management experience
Experience managing ASB cases
Estate inspections
Safeguarding knowledge
Rent arrears and tenancy sustainment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Essential Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence
Access to your own vehicle
Willingness to travel across North London and Hertfordshire
Right to work in the UK
