Psychology Graduate

Are you local to Hillingdon and looking to start a meaningful career supporting people with health conditions into work? This could be a great opportunity for a Psychology graduate who has some experience supporting vulnerable people and wants to build a long‑term career within mental health, employability, or the charity sector.

We’ve placed a lot of people into this charity over the years, and they genuinely love working there. It’s a large, well‑established organisation with excellent training, support, and career progression opportunities.

They’ve recently launched a new long‑term funded contract and are now recruiting Employment Advisors for their Hillingdon team.

You’ll be trained as an IPS Employment Specialist, supporting people with mental health conditions, disabilities, or other barriers into employment. This is a community‑based role where you’ll work across locations including Job Centres, Council Offices, and NHS Trust sites. Travel between sites is paid.

You’ll manage a caseload of around 25 participants, helping them build confidence, identify career goals, and move towards sustainable employment.

Full training is provided, including shadowing experienced staff and ongoing support from your Team Leader.

We’re especially interested in Psychology graduates who have some experience supporting vulnerable people, whether through:

• Mental health support
• Youth work
• SEN support
• Coaching or mentoring
• Support work placements

You’ll need to be organised, resilient, and comfortable working independently in the community. The role is target‑driven and involves a high level of lone working, although strong support systems are in place.

Please note:

• Permanent, full‑time role
• Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
• Community‑based role (no home working)
• You must live within reasonable travelling distance of Hillingdon
• Expected start date around 4 weeks from offer
