Hours:

37.5 hours per week, working a shift rota including some weekends

We are currently recruiting for a

Support Worker

to join a dedicated Young People's Homelessness Service in Carlisle. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting young people to build confidence, develop life skills, and move towards independent living.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide one-to-one support to young residents, helping them overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes. The role is primarily office-based, with a strong focus on support planning, administration, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one support tailored to each young person's individual needs

Support residents to access education, training, and employment opportunities

Encourage the development of independent living skills

Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Complete support plans and other administrative tasks

Promote and maintain health and safety within the service

Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes

About You

We're looking for someone who has:
Experience working in supported housing, children's residential services, or mental health services

A passion for supporting vulnerable young people

Strong organisational and administrative skills

Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

Flexibility to work a rota, including some weekends
