Location:
Community-based (Various locations across Durham Newcastle and Sunderland) Salary: £14.85 per hour starting Salary

We're looking for caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Children's Outreach Support Workers to provide 1:1 and 2:1 support to children and young people with learning disabilities in the community.
No two days are the same. Whether you're supporting a child to access activities they enjoy, develop independence, build confidence, or simply have fun in the community, you'll be making a genuine difference to their lives. What You'll Be Doing Providing person-centred support tailored to each child's individual needs. Supporting children and young people to access community activities, clubs, parks, leisure centres, and social opportunities.
Encouraging independence, confidence, and life skills. Supporting communication using individual communication methods where required. Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive relationships. Maintaining accurate records and reporting any safeguarding concerns. Supporting children with behaviours that may challenge using positive behaviour support approaches. About You We're looking for someone who is:
Compassionate, patient, and understanding. Can plan sessions and use own initiative Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently as well as 2:1 A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare. Essential Requirements Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD or additional needs. Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Right to work in the UK. Desirable NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People's Workforce, or equivalent. Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, sensory needs, or complex behaviours. Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle and Business Insurance
