Lead Worker

Westminster

£15.29 per hour + £1.85 Holiday Pay (£17.14 per hour)

Temporary Contract (Approx. 3 Months)

37.5 Hours per Week | Monday-Friday | Hybrid Working

Morgan Hunt is recruiting for an experienced Lead Worker to join a specialist homelessness service supporting individuals with a history of rough sleeping to sustain accommodation and achieve long-term independence.

About the Role

You’ll manage a caseload of around 15 clients, delivering person‑centred, trauma‑informed support to help individuals maintain their accommodation, improve wellbeing and successfully move towards independent living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients with complex support needs.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, support plans and risk assessments.
  • Deliver strengths‑based, trauma‑informed support tailored to individual needs.
  • Support clients with tenancy sustainment, budgeting, rent, bills, repairs and daily living skills.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Support planned move‑on into suitable long‑term accommodation.
  • Work collaboratively with housing providers, local authorities, healthcare services, probation, mental health and substance misuse teams.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients and coordinate multi‑agency support.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with organisational policies.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting people affected by homelessness, rough sleeping or housing instability.
  • Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice, safeguarding and risk management.
  • Experience working with people experiencing mental health issues, substance misuse, offending behaviour and multiple disadvantage.
  • Strong assessment, case management and support planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, partnership working and record‑keeping abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently and undertaking lone working where required.
