We are currently looking for an experienced Housing Solutions Officer to join a busy Housing Solutions service. The role will focus on providing front-line housing advice, assessing Housing Register applications and supporting statutory reviews and complex housing cases.
The Role
· Providing housing advice to customers by telephone, email and face-to-face.
· Assessing and maintaining Housing Register applications under Part VI of the Housing Act 1996.
· Making statutory decisions in line with the Allocation Scheme and relevant legislation.
· Registering and supporting statutory housing reviews.
· Supporting complaints, MP/Councillor enquiries and complex housing cases.
· Liaising with Legal Services, solicitors and partner agencies.
· Maintaining accurate case records across housing systems.
Key Requirements
· Experience with in Housing Solutions, Housing Needs or Allocations.
· Experience assessing Housing Register applications.
· Good knowledge of Part VI of the Housing Act 1996.
· Knowledge of Part VII would be advantageous.
· Experience providing front-line housing advice.
· Experience using housing systems such as Locata, I-World or similar.
