We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Reviews Officer (Homelessness) to join our Housing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring fair, thorough, and timely reviews of homelessness cases and housing-related decisions. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders including applicants, support services, and internal housing teams to assess appeals and review requests. You will be responsible for managing caseloads efficiently, providing clear communication, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

This position requires a strong understanding of homelessness legislation, housing needs assessments, and the ability to apply policies consistently while demonstrating empathy and sensitivity towards vulnerable populations. The Reviews Officer will contribute to improving service delivery by identifying trends and recommending process improvements. Conduct comprehensive reviews of homelessness applications and housing decisions in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.

Manage and prioritize a caseload of review requests to ensure timely and effective outcomes.

Liaise with applicants, internal departments, and external agencies to gather necessary information and provide case updates.

Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on case assessments for management and decision-making purposes.

Maintain accurate and secure records of all review activities, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

Identify patterns and issues within reviews to suggest improvements to policies and procedures.

Provide clear communication and guidance to applicants regarding the review process and outcomes.

Support the Housing team in continuous improvement initiatives by sharing insights and feedback from reviews.
