Introduction

Are you looking for a role where you can make a tangible difference to local communities? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with significant experience in anti-social behaviour, community safety and statutory nuisance investigations. You will have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and enforcement powers, coupled with the ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions based on evidence and professional judgement.

We are looking for someone who can build effective relationships with residents, colleagues and partner agencies, recognising that successful outcomes are often delivered through collaborative working. Your ability to communicate clearly, negotiate effectively and work in partnership with organisations such as the Police, housing providers and other stakeholders will be essential

You will be a proactive problem solver with experience of undertaking investigations, gathering and assessing evidence, and where appropriate progressing enforcement action. Strong organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and a commitment to delivering high-quality services in a fast‑paced environment are key. What’s

the role?

You’ll investigate and resolve complaints relating to anti‑social behaviour, statutory nuisance and community safety, using a range of enforcement powers where appropriate. You’ll manage complex casework, gather evidence and work closely with residents, Police and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes. The role also involves preparing legal documentation, attending court or hearings when required, and participating in out‑of‑hours enforcement and patrol work.

This is a community‑focused role, with a balance of office‑based and field‑based working across the borough.

Special conditions
  • Good numeracy and literacy with a minimum of GCSE A-C including Maths and English
  • Able to attend meetings in the evenings, to work outside normal office hours and to work beyond minimum hours when required to achieve deadlines
  • The job is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
