AboutThe Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and passionate Domestic Abuse Support Service delivering outreach-based support across the borough. The role involves working with individuals with a wide range of needs, including those experiencing crisis, and requires flexibility to operate across different locations. You will be part of a fast-paced and evolving service that is focused on delivering responsive, person-centred support and advocacy to help victim/survivors achieve greater safety and stability.
AboutThe Team
Hearthstone Domestic Abuse Service is the in-house specialist team within Haringey’s Housing Demand Service. We provide advice, support and advocacy to residents of the borough who are experiencing, or have experienced, domestic abuse.
At the heart of the team’s work are strong values of collaboration, respect and integrity, with a shared commitment to empowering survivors and promoting their safety and independence.
The team works closely together and in partnership with internal services and external agencies to provide a holistic offer, ensuring individuals can access legal remedies, counselling, housing advice and practical safety measures to remain safe and supported.
About YouWe are looking for someone with significant experience supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse and VAWG, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality outreach support. You will be empathetic, resilient and trauma-informed, with a strong understanding of the impact of abuse and the barriers faced by those accessing support services.
