What you will do

• Undertake comprehensive Kinship Care assessments, including Viability Assessments, Connected Person Assessments, and Special Guardianship Assessments.
• Complete child-centred assessments, reports, and recommendations for Court proceedings, fostering panels, and permanency planning meetings.
• Develop and review support plans for kinship carers, ensuring children’s needs are fully assessed and addressed.
• Work directly with children, families, and carers to promote stability, safeguarding, and positive long-term outcomes.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
• Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Experience

• Post-qualification experience within a UK Local Authority Children’s Services environment.
• Experience completing Kinship Care, Connected Person, or Special Guardianship Assessments.
