About the role

Are you a dedicated Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact? Join Hillingdon Council’s Learning Disabilities Team and help enhance the lives of adults with learning disabilities.

In this rewarding role, you will work closely with individuals, families, and a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored support plans that promote independence, well-being, and community integration.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage a social work caseload with a high level of autonomy.
  • Provide expert professional and technical advice to colleagues, managers, and partners.
  • Promote reflective practice and continuous professional development.
  • Apply a range of assessment and intervention frameworks effectively.
  • Support and mentor others in professionalism and effective caseload management.
  • Build strong networks with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery.
  • Prepare reports for the Court of Protection.
What You’ll Need:
  • A Social Work degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Completion of 12 months AYSE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment).
  • Experience in assessment and care management for individuals with learning disabilities and/or disabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
