Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care Greenwich, London £14.50–£15.00 per hour 40 hours per week | Shift work

The Role We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to join a children’s residential home in Greenwich, supporting children and young people in a safe, nurturing environment. As a Residential Support Worker , you will provide practical, emotional and social support, helping young people develop confidence, independence and resilience .

Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality residential care and support . Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. Build positive, trusting relationships. Support education, appointments, activities and life skills. Promote positive behaviour and independence. Support daily routines, meals and household tasks. Complete care records, reports and handovers. Act as a Key Worker for allocated young people. Work with families, social workers and other professionals.

Follow safeguarding procedures and care plans. About You Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards one. Experience supporting children and young people is desirable.

Experience with emotional/behavioural needs or behaviours that challenge is beneficial. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
