Job Title: Work and Health Coach
Contract Type: Full Time / Fixed term until November 2027 (Extension dependent on continuation of funding)
About the RoleAs a Work and Health coach within Bromley’s NHS funded Work Well employment support team (delivered under the Bromley Works service), you will provide early intervention work and health support to people experiencing health-related barriers to employment. The coach will work alongside GP practices, mental and physical health services and community partners to help people stay in work, return to work after sickness absence, find new employment, or improve health and wellbeing alongside employment outcomes
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored one-to-one employment support, developing action plans and helping residents secure, sustain or retain paid employment.
- Build relationships with clinical and community lead health support services in order to establish clear referral pathways.
- Plan and deliver group focused employability skills workshops and supported Job Search sessions
- Build and maintain strong employer relationships, promoting inclusive recruitment and workplace adjustments.
- Deliver in-work coaching and job retention support, acting as a liaison between residents and employers to resolve workplace challenges and support reasonable adjustments.
- Ensure programme compliance by maintaining accurate records, tracking outcomes and progressions.
- Collaborate with GP Surgeries, Local Council, Job Centre Plus, and community partners to generate appropriate participant referral numbers.
- Proven experience of helping people with disabilities, health conditions or other barriers into sustained paid work, including career coaching, job search and in-work support.
- Strong employer engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to promote inclusive hiring and negotiate job opportunities.
- Experience of managing caseloads and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of employment programmes, along with understanding of employment law, workplace adjustments and the Equality Act 2010.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and IT skills, with the ability to track outcomes and ensure compliance.
