Software Engineer
to support and enhance critical systems within a dynamic, high-performing team. You’ll work across development and Dev Ops activities, supporting complex environments that underpin key national capabilities.

• Deliver
  Dev Ops development and support capabilities
  as part of an agile delivery team.
• Participate in the
  development of new systems
  , transitioning them into ongoing support and enhancement.
• Support the
  transition of externally developed systems
  into internal ownership for maintenance and improvement.
• Contribute to
  second and third line support
  for a portfolio of client systems.
• Take part in a
  24/7 on-call rota
  supporting critical national systems.

• Strong working knowledge of
  Java programming
  .
• Proficiency with
  Linux operating systems
  .
• Solid understanding of
  Dev Ops principles
  and agile delivery.
• Excellent
  problem-solving skills
  and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
• Confident
  client-facing communication
  skills.

• Experience with
  Apache Ni Fi and
  Node.js
  .
• Familiarity with
  JSON, XML, XSD, and XSLT
  .
• Knowledge of
  Jenkins, Maven, Bit Bucket, and Jira
  .
• Exposure to
  AWS
  and cloud technologies.
• Experience working within
  agile methodologies
  (Scrum, Kanban).
