In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities Responsibilities- Build and maintain full‑stack applications deployed on AWS, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Use AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Dynamo
DB, and RDS to enhance application functionality. - Apply security best practices, optimise application performance, and ensure scalability across the stack.
- Support the development of CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using AWS Code Pipeline or similar tools.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other developers in an Agile development environment.

Preferred educationBachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise- Experience in full‑stack development, including cloud‑based applications, with exposure to projects involving IBM and defence industry organisations.
- Hands‑on backend development experience using Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Familiarity with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo
DB, RDS, and IAM. - Experience working with both relational databases (Postgre
SQL, MySQL) and No

DB, Mongo
DB). - Strong understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and debugging techniques.
- Knowledge of Git, version control workflows, and deployment automation practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, or AWS CDK).
- Knowledge of authentication methods such as OAuth, JWT, or AWS Cognito.
- Exposure to containerised applications using Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes.
