Dotnet Developer

Overview

I’m working with a well-funded, tech4good product company that’s been operating in the UK for a number of years and has genuinely gone from strength to strength in terms of their product, impact, and engineering team. Their products are predominantly cloud-based, and they’re now scaling with two new Developer hires to help build out core features, improve internal and customer-facing tools, and ship high-quality services.

The team is collaborative, sociable, and technically very strong. They’re keen to find engineers who enjoy working closely with others, are comfortable taking ownership, and are open to spending time in the office for collaboration and learning. Please note this is a mid-level position. The team has a good amount of seniors for support and is not looking to add to that level at the moment.

• Contributing to UI development as the team continues moving towards Vue (no prior Vue experience required)
• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and microservices
• Writing clean, well-tested code following DDD principles (there’s no dedicated QA team, so engineers own quality with support from the team)
• Pairing with teammates and contributing to sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives, and wider engineering discussions
• Building systems designed for volume, reliability, and scale

• Strong commercial experience with .NET / C#
• A good understanding of CI/CD and automated testing practices
• Experience working with SQL and REST APIs (particularly good API design)
• Experience with Azure (any exposure to Functions, Service Bus, or Event Hub is a bonus)
