What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Software Developer in Test (SSDET) at HL, you will play a crucial role in building market-leading solutions for our clients.
You will:
Test Automation Development:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and libraries. Integrate, implement, and optimize automated testing strategies within our CI/CD pipelines.
Performance and Security Testing:
Develop and execute performance and load test strategies to ensure the system can handle high volumes of traffic. Implement security testing practices to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. Develop functional resilience strategies such as chaos engineering.
Quality Assurance:
Support the team in conducting thorough testing of software applications, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance tests. Collaborate with developers to debug and resolve complex issues, including fixing bugs.
Test Planning and Execution:
Translate product requirements into test strategies, architecture, and design decisions that ensure quality and non-functional requirements (NFRs) are considered upfront.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other SDETs, Software Engineers, QA Analysts, and Dev Ops Engineers to integrate automated testing and quality into the development process. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality of code.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in the testing process. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies in test automation. Mentor and train SDET and Software Engineering team members in best practices for test automation and software quality.
Documentation:
Contribute to test plans and strategies documentation. Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for test automation frameworks and tools.
About You
We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about quality and testing. You should have:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Advanced experience in test automation development using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, etc. Familiarity with performance testing tools such as Apache Bench, JMeter, or Load Runner, or modern alternatives like K6, Gatling, Locust. Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber or Spec Flow.
Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Type Script.
- Experience with scripting languages for automation tasks.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Load Runner.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
