Python Software Engineer – Visual Quality / Media – London Hybrid – Outside IR35
A London-based technology company is seeking a capable Python Developer to support development and maintenance of an in-house quality test framework used to validate next‑generation video codec technology. Initial 3‑month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development and maintenance of the in-house video quality testing framework.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new features and improve performance.
- Strong Python development skills (multithreaded, production code)
- Familiarity with REST/HTTP/JSON tooling and containers (e.g., Docker)
- Experience in test frameworks, automation, or media/codec workflows beneficial
- Location:
London, 2+ days onsite per week - Rate:
Market competitive - Start: ASAP / short notice
This role suits a pragmatic Python developer comfortable working in a technical, fast‑moving media technology environment. Excellent opportunity to contribute to high-performance software used by major industry customers.
The Software Engineer must have full UK working rights and be able to attend the office in London at least 2 days per week.
