The Opportunity

Mploy Group is working with an established and highly innovative software business developing advanced data-driven platforms used within complex, high-impact environments.

This is an opportunity for a Senior Python Engineer to play a key role in the continued growth of a modern engineering platform, contributing across backend development, architecture, scalability and technical improvement initiatives within a collaborative technology team.

The environment is highly engineering-focused, with real emphasis placed on clean design, platform reliability and long-term technical quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Designing and developing backend functionality using Python

* Contributing to scalable microservices architecture and distributed systems

* Building and maintaining RESTful APIs

* Driving best practice across testing, CI/CD and code quality

* Collaborating closely with Product, QA and Engineering teams

* Supporting and mentoring other developers where required

* Contributing to technical planning and solution design

* Assisting with automation, deployment and platform scalability

Technology Environment

* Python

* Microservices Architecture

* Cloud-based infrastructure (AWS environment)

* REST APIs

* Git / modern version control tooling

* CI/CD pipelines

* Agile delivery environment

What We’re Looking For

* Strong commercial Python engineering experience

* Experience working within scalable and complex software environments

* Good understanding of microservices and distributed systems

* Experience designing and developing APIs

* Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS

* Strong understanding of modern engineering tooling and practices

* Previous mentoring or technical leadership exposure would be beneficial
