Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software, DevOps

Our defence sector client is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join a high performing software engineering team delivering secure, scalable and mission critical technology solutions.

Live SC Clearance is desired, but the client is happy to put strong candidates through the SC process (need to be a Sole UK National)

You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to design, build and maintain modern software applications using a range of front end, backend and Dev Ops technologies.

• Develop responsive front end applications using JavaScript/Type Script and React.
• Build scalable backend services using technologies such as Java, Python or Go.
• Support containerised deployments using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Work within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software in fast-paced environments.

• Strong software engineering background with experience across modern development environments.
• Experience with either JavaScript/Type Script, React.
• Experience with either Java / GoLang/ C++ / Python / C#.
• Knowledge of Git, Docker, CI/CD and software engineering best practices.
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures and scalable application design.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• AWS or Azure cloud experience.
• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Agile and Dev Sec Ops  methodologies.
• Knowledge of web security best practices.
• Exposure to Rust.
