Junior Software & Data Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a technically strong, detail-oriented Junior Data & Software Engineer to join our team. This is a hands‑on role for someone early in their career who wants to work across data engineering, software development, and system reliability in a fast‑moving environment where you will take ownership of your own projects.

• Software Development:
  Contribute to internal tools and platforms to improve reliability, data visibility, and operational workflows.
• Uptime & Monitoring Systems:
  Manage development of features and integrations that enhance fault detection, alerting, and automated diagnostics across the estate.
• Data Engineering & Analysis:
  Assist in building and maintaining pipelines to collect, clean, and analyse data from our network. Support insights into uptime, performance, and user behaviour with our dedicated data team.

• Analytical mindset – data‑driven, curious, and loves solving problems.
• Good knowledge of modern practices in data and software engineering.
• ML/AI curiosity and interest.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, SQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Nice to have:
  Experience with Azure cloud services and knowledge of OCPP/OCPI protocols.
