Software Engineer, Backend Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software

Central London (4 Days Per Week Onsite)

We're currently partnering with a fast-growing technology company operating within the fintech and payments space, building products that help consumers and businesses manage and move money more effectively.

As part of continued growth, they are looking to hire a Golang Developer to join their engineering team and help build the next generation of their platform.

This is a hands‑on backend engineering position focused on designing and building scalable, high‑performance systems in a cloud‑native environment.

You’ll work closely with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable services that support real‑world financial transactions at scale.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Golang
• Develop scalable, low‑latency, high‑throughput applications
• Build and maintain event‑driven systems and microservices
• Work with AWS and cloud‑native technologies
• Develop and maintain containerised applications using Docker
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across product and engineering
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision‑making
• Promote engineering best practices, testing, and code quality

• 4+ years of commercial software engineering experience
• Strong commercial experience with Golang
• Experience building distributed systems and scalable backend services
• Experience with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, Rabbit
  
  MQ, or similar)
• Strong understanding of Docker and containerisation
• Experience working with AWS and cloud‑based architectures
• Strong problem‑solving skills and engineering fundamentals
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Fintech, payments, banking, or other regulated industries
• Redis
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as React, Flutter, Swift
  
  UI, or Kotlin
