Overview

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Senior Quantitative Software Engineer in the FIDCOM super department, serving as the senior technology face to our commodities leadership. The role focuses on owning critical trading technologies, including market‑making engines, intrabank market hedging algorithms, and order management systems.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the development of innovative solutions, frameworks, and best practices within the team’s area of expertise.
  • Analyze complex datasets and synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
  • Design, develop and enhance client‑facing products while optimizing the performance, scalability, and reliability of trading algorithms.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks by designing robust controls, monitoring frameworks, and governance processes.
  • Act as an L3 Subject Matter Expert, providing critical support during market stress events, production incidents, and complex operational challenges.
Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in delivering complex technology initiatives and contributing to strategic technology roadmaps.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technology and business leadership.
  • Deep expertise within the relevant domain, coupled with a strong understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Scala, with an interest in developing deep expertise in Scala.
  • Knowledge of C++.
  • Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation and tooling.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Interest in functional programming principles.
  • Curiosity to leverage different technologies in solving financial modelling and quantitative challenges.
