Embedded Software Engineer
We're seeking a talented engineer to join a world-leading navigation and maritime technology organisation, helping to develop the next generation of radar systems used across commercial and defence maritime environments worldwide.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of embedded software development, contributing to innovative radar and navigation solutions that enhance safety, operational effectiveness, and mission success at sea.
What You'll Be Doing
Developing embedded software for next-generation radar and navigation products
Working closely with software and hardware engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions
Supporting system integration and product testing activities
Participating in Agile development processes, sprint planning, and code reviews
Contributing to the evolution of advanced maritime technologies used globally
What We're Looking For
Solid experience in embedded software engineering
Strong C++ and C# development skills
Experience working with real-time, multi-threaded systems
Knowledge of Linux environments, Bash scripting, and Python
Understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP and UDP
Experience with Open Embedded, Bitbake, Makefiles, and embedded Linux development
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team
Desirable Experience
Radar systems development
ASTERIX CAT
240 protocol
RF transceiver integration
U-Boot and embedded boot loader technologies
Wireshark and network analysis tools
Wt web GUI libraries
Guidant, Carbon
