** ROLE
SUMMARY:
** We’re hiring a Senior Developer to join the Regulatory News Service team in London. For over 300 years, the London Stock Exchange has produced detailed market information for companies and investors, technological innovations have transformed this service from a twice-weekly paper publication for the London business community to a continuous flow of electronic information to all the financial markets across the globe.
This role involves full lifecycle Agile development, including requirements analysis, estimation, design, coding, testing, and peer code reviews. You’ll contribute to service improvement initiatives alongside development and support tasks, and coordinate with a range of technology and business partners. The position also requires setting up and handling your development environment and supporting ad hoc duties aligned with team goals. Flexibility is important, as release and change management activities may occasionally occur outside standard regular working hours.##
** WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
*** Act as a lead contributor for technical solutions within an agile team
* Employ a range of techniques to analyze requirements and issues and evaluate multiple solutions against engineering, business & strategic criteria
* Identify and resolve barriers to business deliveries implementing solutions which iteratively add customer value
* Design solutions using common design patterns with a range of design tools & techniques
* Conduct peer reviews to ensure designs are fit for purpose, extensible and re-usable
