Job Description – Senior Automation Test Engineer (Scala/Play Applications)

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our team working on modern Scala/Play microservices and digital services. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks across UI, API, integration, and end‑to‑end testing layers.

The role requires close collaboration with developers, product owners, business analysts, and Dev Ops teams to ensure high‑quality software delivery through continuous testing and quality engineering practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks and reusable test assets.
• Develop and execute automated tests for web applications, APIs, and microservices.
• Create and maintain regression, smoke, integration, and end‑to‑end test suites.
• Validate business journeys across frontend and backend services.
• Collaborate with developers during sprint activities to ensure testability and quality.
• Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, and estimation.
• Identify, report, and track defects through resolution.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support performance, accessibility, and security testing initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards and best practices.

Strong experience in test automation frameworks.
