Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer - A hands‑on engineering role building and optimising scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and Lakehouse architectures across a modern multi‑cloud platform using Python, Spark, Airflow and dbt.

• Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL and Spark/PySpark.
• Manage Airflow DAGs and implement dbt transformations.
• Design medallion‑style Lakehouse architectures using S3 with Iceberg or Delta Lake table formats.
• Create reusable frameworks, enforce data contracts, and build CI/CD pipelines for data delivery.
• Establish observability practices and implement validation frameworks, SLIs and SLOs for critical pipelines.

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong Python and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with Airflow, Spark/PySpark, dbt and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Lakehouse architectures, dimensional modelling and cloud data warehouses (S3, Athena, Redshift).
• Expertise in data quality frameworks, monitoring and schema evolution.

• Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Knowledge of AI coding assistants and related tooling.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience in data catalog or metadata management.
