Forward Deployed Engineer

TL;

DR – We’re looking for an exceptional Forward Deployed Engineer to help build the future of AI-powered software creation. You will be a founding member of our FDE function, working directly with our most ambitious customers to translate impossible ideas into real products. This is a unique opportunity to design a new discipline from scratch and solve problems with AI that no one has solved before.

This isn’t a traditional software engineering role.

• Be one of the first Forward Deployed Engineers at Lovable
• Create a new function at the intersection of engineering, product, customer success, and research
• Partner with customers building never-seen-before AI systems
• Build product features based on real-world behaviors and emerging patterns
• Influence our core product direction and technical roadmap

If you want to invent new categories, not just improve existing ones - this is that role.

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping full-stack products
• Proficiency in modern frontend (React/Type Script) and robust backend development
• Strong architectural thinking and familiarity with distributed systems
• Ability to rapidly prototype, experiment, and learn from real usage
• Exceptional product intuition and ability to work directly with users
• Comfort operating in high-ambiguity, high-agency environments

Bonus if you’ve:

• Worked on agentic AI systems or built with LLMs before
• Led zero-to-one product development
• Worked in a founding or early startup environment

• Shape how Forward Deployed Engineering works at Lovable (rituals, playbooks, org design)
• Contribute to core product strategy, technical decisions, and cultural foundations
