About Syntasso
We believe platform engineering should empower, not constrain. We built Kratix, an open‑source framework that helps organisations design, deliver, and scale internal developer platforms with confidence. One early adopter cut platform onboarding from weeks to hours. Building on that, we launched Syntasso Kratix Enterprise (SKE) to bring those capabilities to large‑scale teams.
The RoleAs our first Solutions Engineer, you’ll be a trusted technical advisor across the full customer lifecycle: from first conversation to long‑term success. You’ll bring Kratix to life for prospects, guide customers through implementation, and feed real‑world insight back into the product. Your ideas will directly influence how Kratix evolves.
Responsibilities- Pre‑Sales: Join sales conversations as the technical voice, run hands‑on demos, understand a prospect’s infrastructure, and map Kratix’s capabilities to their real problems. Build demo environments, integration guides, and technical one‑pagers.
- Post‑Sales & Customer Success: Own the technical relationship with a small number of enterprise customers, lead onboarding, stay close to their progress, act as the primary point of contact for technical issues and escalations, spot risks and opportunities, and help customers articulate value to stakeholders.
- Product Engineering: Contribute to the Kratix codebase alongside the core team, keeping technical skills sharp and product knowledge current, and bring customer insight to inform prioritisation and direction.
Most importantly, you have a growth mindset. You bring curiosity, empathy, and a genuine desire to learn, qualities that make you a trusted advisor to customers and a valued teammate internally.
Ideal candidates are platform engineers or SREs who love the customer and commercial side of the work, though we welcome the right profile from a different direction.
What You’ll Thrive If:- You bring genuine technical depth and are equally comfortable explaining why it matters to business stakeholders.
- You translate complexity into clarity, whether that’s Kubernetes internals or platform strategy.
- You have experience working closely with customers on complex problems, running compelling demos, navigating hard questions, and driving next steps.
- You build needed assets such as demo environments, onboarding guides, and integration patterns.
- You’re energized by learning in public and sharing context freely.
- You’re comfortable with Kubernetes, the cloud‑native ecosystem, at least one programming language, and cloud platforms and API integrations. Golang experience is a plus.
- Competitive salary based on experience, plus early‑stage equity.
- Financial stability with a secure multi‑year runway.
- 35‑hour work week for focus, recharge, and sustainable work.
- Hybrid working with regular visits to our London Bridge office.
- Research Fridays: every other Friday dedicated to learning and open exploration.
- Support to grow your profile through conferences, open source, writing, or other channels.
At Syntasso, we believe diverse and inclusive teams build better products, stronger communities, and happier workplaces. We’re committed to an environment where everyone feels respected, supported, and empowered to thrive. We welcome people from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. If you’re excited about what we’re building but aren’t sure you tick every box, please apply.
