Senior Azure Platform Engineer – Azure Research Environment; TRE

CGI is the appointed custodian of the Microsoft Azure Trusted Research Environment (TRE) - an open-source platform enabling secure research workloads across health, life sciences, and regulated sectors. This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for the ongoing stewardship, development, and strategic evolution of the Azure TRE platform in close partnership with Microsoft.

Beyond technical expertise, we are looking for someone with a positive, curious mindset - an individual who thrives on learning, asks the right questions, and is energised by solving complex problems. You should be comfortable operating at the intersection of technology and business: as capable of architecting a secure platform as you are of presenting its value to a board-level audience or identifying a new client opportunity over a workshop whiteboard.

Due to the secure nature of this programme, you’ll need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain it. This is a hybrid role.
