Backend Python Developer

We're recruiting for an experienced Backend Python Developer to join a high-performing technology team with a leading global financial services organisation.

This is a hybrid role and candidates will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days per week onsite in London.

Responsibilities

Building scalable Python backend applications and APIs
Developing data pipelines and data-intensive systems
Working closely with engineers, data specialists and business stakeholders
Driving performance, reliability and security across critical platforms

Candidate requirements

5+ year commercial Python development experience
Strong backend engineering and system design skills
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB or similar technologies
Knowledge of APIs, data processing, CI/CD and Dev Ops practices
Financial markets experience (Rates, Bonds, Swaps, Futures or Trading Systems) highly desirable
Quantitative/Quants experience highly desirable
Backend Python Development Experience
Quants experience
