React Engineer

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a leading buy-side investment firm that is looking to hire a React Engineer to build the next generation of front-end applications supporting trading, pricing, and quantitative research.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the intersection of modern web technologies and quantitative finance, developing high-performance, data-intensive applications that power real-time decision-making across global markets. You'll collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and software engineers to deliver intuitive, mission-critical platforms used every day.

• Build intuitive, data-rich user interfaces for trading, analytics, and pricing platforms.
• Integrate front-end applications with real-time market data and backend services.
• Collaborate with engineers, quantitative researchers, traders, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Drive improvements in UI architecture, application performance, and overall user experience.

Build Business-Critical Applications – Develop front-end platforms that directly support trading, investment, and research decisions.

Work with Real-Time Market Data – Build responsive, data-rich applications capable of processing and visualising live market information.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another STEM-related discipline.
• 1+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong commercial experience with React and modern front-end development.
• Experience with Agile development, Git, and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Python or other backend technologies.
• Exposure to financial markets, trading systems, or data-intensive applications.
• Experience building real-time data visualisation or analytics platforms.
