About the role

We are hiring a Senior Product Engineer for our AI Squad at Which?. You will play a key role in building and maintaining Ask Which?, while developing reusable AI platform capabilities, services, and tooling that enable AI-powered experiences across Which?. We are seeking experienced

Full Stack AI Engineers with a proven track record of designing, building, and operating production AI applications and services. Ideal candidates will have experience developing AI-powered applications and reusable AI platform capabilities. They should be proficient in integrating LLMs, AI services, and third-party APIs, with experience building scalable, event-driven, and asynchronous cloud-native solutions.

What kind of work might I do?

• Software Development and Technical Direction: Write high-quality software and automated tests, contribute to software design, and ensure solutions meet high standards for performance, security, reliability, and fault tolerance. This role focuses on building and enhancing Ask Which, alongside developing reusable AI platform capabilities, services, and APIs. You will own the delivery of AI solutions, champion the use of cloud-native AWS AI technologies, and contribute to technical decisions that shape the evolution of Which?

• Collaboration
  :
  Working with your squad and stakeholders to set up and plan quarterly OKRs that drive the success of AI Squad offering. You will ensure your Squad's work on the AI Platform is aligned with the wider strategy and commitments.
• Operational Excellence
  :
  Setting high standards and driving engineering best practice across the AI platform stack. This includes focusing on observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) for the cloud-native solution, participating in peer reviews, and facilitating the maintenance of engineering standards, reliability, and performance.
• Squad Empowerment
  :
  Contributing to a culture of creativity, curiosity, collaboration, inclusion and innovation within your Squads as you adopt new technologies and practices for AI Platform.
• Champion Platform Ownership
  :
  Take ownership of both Ask Which and the reusable AI platform capabilities you build, ensuring they are secure, reliable, scalable, observable, and easy for product teams to adopt.

What do we expect?

You will provide a high level of technical expertise and leadership within your squad. We are specifically looking for people who have the following characteristics:

• Technical Expertise:
  You are an experienced Full Stack AI Engineer with expertise in designing and building production-grade, cloud-native applications. You have strong knowledge of Type Script (Node.js and React/React Native), AWS, Terraform, and building robust RESTful APIs and scalable distributed systems. You are experienced in integrating LLMs, AI services, and third-party APIs, and designing event-driven and asynchronous architectures. You will apply this expertise to build and enhance Ask Which and develop reusable AI platform capabilities.
• AI-Native Engineering:
  You will champion the use of agentic workflows to accelerate delivery across the AI platform. As an AI-fluent leader, you will leverage Git Hub Copilot as a primary partner to automate testing, streamline implementation, and minimize cognitive overhead, ensuring your focus remains on solving our most complex architectural and product puzzles.
• End-to-End Use Case Ownership:
