Lead Python Developer

OB have partnered with a global Insur Tech business transforming how insurance products are built and delivered through modern, data-driven platforms.

As they continue to invest heavily into technology, they’re looking for a Lead Python Developer to join their London-based engineering team to take ownership across architecture, set technical direction and the delivery of scalable, business-critical systems.

You'll work closely with Engineers, Product Managers and Data Scientists to design and build high-quality technical solutions, while leading from the front on engineering best practices.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll mentor engineers, influence architecture, improve developer experience and help shape the future direction of their platforms as they scale.

• Python
• Experience designing scalable backend services & platforms
• Strong SQL experience (PostgreSQL / SQL Server)
• Experience working with large-scale data systems
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, testing and automation

• Up to £110k salary
• Hybrid working in London
